CASS Continues to Operate But with Modified Services

Because of the pandemic, we’re primarily providing home-delivered meals and taking seniors to grocery stores and medical appointments. Please click here to learn more about how we've adapted our operations.

Leadership

CASS Executive Team

Tracey Collins

Tracey Collins

Chief Executive Officer

Tracey is only the third chief executive of CASS since we were founded in 1967. She has led the organization since 2005. Previously, she served as our assistant director.  She has worked with children and families as well as older adults in Greater Cincinnati for more than 33 years. Before joining CASS, she worked at Beech Acres Parenting Center in family outreach services. She has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky and is a licensed social worker and certified geriatric case manager. She is a former president of the Leadership Council for Nonprofits of Cincinnati and served on the Board of the United Way of Greater Cincinnati. “I am passionate about advocating for seniors who have no voice due to aging issues and who are overwhelmed by navigating the network of aging services. I hate to be told that something can’t be done when it comes to providing solutions to seniors. I ask tough questions, find creative solutions and have a strong will to serve seniors.”

Connie Baker

Connie Baker

Chief Operating Officer

Connie oversees our daily operations as well as our quality improvement activities and legal compliance. In her more than 16 years at CASS, she has also served as Senior Manager of Clinical Services. Previously, she had been Vice President of Programs and Operations at The Children’s Home in Kentucky. She is a licensed social worker in Ohio and a certified social worker in Kentucky. She earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky. “Helping vulnerable older adults maintain their quality of life is a passion of mine. It’s an incredible experience to watch as we help our clients stabilize and improve their lives. At CASS, we are fortunate to attract like-minded staff and, as a result, we have an incredible mission-driven workforce. It’s easy to come to work in the morning when you enjoy what you do and like the people you do it with.”

Jo Ann Kells

Jo Ann Kells

Human Resources Director

Jo Ann is responsible for the development and implementation of our personnel policies and procedures. She has worked at CASS for more than 27 years, longer than anyone else. Previously, she worked as Executive Director at Chrysalis House in Lexington, which supports women and their families as they recover from alcohol and other drug addictions. Working there spurred her love of nonprofits. “I love our mission,” she said about CASS. “Every position and every employee has a unique and important role in delivering the services that support our mission statement.” She has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Eastern Kentucky University.

Crystal Holliday

Crystal Holliday

Chief Financial Officer

Crystal provides financial oversight and accountability for CASS.  In her more than 15 years at CASS, Crystal has served in various roles, including bus driver, accounts payable clerk, payroll clerk and controller. She has a master’s degree in taxation and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, both from the University of Cincinnati. She is a certified public accountant. “CASS’s mission of helping the elderly to age in place is so necessary and vital to our local seniors. I enjoy working for a company that strives to reach an often-overlooked population.” She loves the stories seniors tell. “If you are willing to listen, you can learn a lot and borrow from their wisdom.” One senior told her how to make starch to press clothes. That senior told her the starch recipe “could make a pair of pants stand up and walk by themselves.”

Anthony Groeber

Anthony Groeber

Director of Operations

Anthony oversees our transportation department, information technology and more. He started at CASS in 2006, working as a fleet technician, fleet manager and facilities manager. Previously, he worked in the automotive field as a technician and manager before starting at CASS.  He graduated from Milford High School and Live Oaks Career Development Campus, then attended Hocking College. “I like working at CASS because I believe in our agency’s mission of promoting independence for the seniors we serve.  I’ve seen firsthand how important our Meals on Wheels program is to folks who have no one else checking on them and how our transportation department gets folks to the grocery store and to medical appointments when they have no one else to turn to.”

Mary Jo Gamm

Mary Jo Gamm

Executive Assistant

Mary Jo provides administrative support to our Executive Team and Board of Directors. She also helps to organize fundraising events and supports other agency programs too. She is one of our longest-serving employees, having started here in 2001. She has spent her entire career — more than 44 years – serving nonprofits. Previously, she worked as an executive assistant at Senior Citizens of Northern Kentucky as well as at United Home Care/The Visiting Nurse Association. “Over the years, I have developed a passion for the elderly — an underserved and overlooked population.  You can learn a lot from our elders.” Some of her favorite moments while working at CASS have been at our Over-the-Rhine Senior Center. “It could be helping to serve the seniors or celebrating with the seniors at different events, such as the Red’s Opening Day Parade. They are more fun than watching with kids.”
